First of all, and most obviously, you must love the Bolts. Since this is an unpaid, voluntary gig, your motivation must simply be a desire to write about and to cover the San Diego Chargers.
Now, this is a writing gig (more specifically, a 'blogging' gig), so its important that you actually like to write, and are at least somewhat decent at it. You don’t have to be an English professor, (God knows, I make my fair share of grammatical errors) but you should be able to form good sentences. I’ll do my best to be a proper Editor so as to ensure a level of quality published on BoltHype.
Living in the San Diego area is not a requirement, but it obviously helps. From time to time, we like to cover local Chargers events like training camps, fan fests, player appearances- things of that nature.
If you would like to join in on the podcast, we’d be happy to add you to the discussion. All you’ll need for this is a computer microphone and an internet connection. (And since you are reading this, I’ll assume you have access to the internet – a major requirement to join the team, hehehe.)
So send in your emails (firstname.lastname@example.org), I’d love to hear from you. I know we are all financially-motivated individuals, but unless some generous soul decides to sponsor the site, don’t expect any monetary compensation.
