Nothing Better Than Playoff Football In San Diego

While its true the Chargers haven't had the best of luck in the playoffs in recent years, their luck is bound to change and January is as good a time as any for the team to finally get over that hump and win a post season game.

There is something magical about the playoff football in San Diego and those lucky people who manage to secure tickets to the game are going to have an experience that they'll never forget. Heck, even though the Chargers lost to the Patriots in the playoffs last season it was still a game that will be memorable if for no other reason than all the controversy that occurred before, during, and after the game!

Playoff tickets for the still to-be-dated game at Qualcomm Stadium went on sale last Friday and there are still seats available. The game is tentatively scheduled for January 5th or 6th. If the Chargers get past their first opponent and make it through to the Super Bowl, it'll be their first trip since 94 where they lost Super Bowl XXIX 49-26 to the San Fransisco 49ers.

We have seen a drastic turnaround in both the team and the fan support over the past few years. Gone are the days where the stadium was half-filled with fans of other teams. Nowadays, every home game is a sell-out and the demand for game tickets is so high that a TV blackout is no longer a threat. You are almost guaranteed to find people begging you to sell them your ticket because everyone wants in. Thats because no matter how comfortable your couch may be, nothing beats the experience of seeing the game in person and cheering your lungs out for your team.
