Shane Olivea To Make His Debut At Right Guard?

Since his days at Ohio State University, Shane Olivea was projected as an offensive guard in the NFL but up until a couple of weeks ago he was the Chargers starting right tackle.

Mike Goff has a banged up foot and missed practice yesterday. In his placed worked his usual backup, Scott Mruczkowski, but Coach Turner also gave some work to Shane. If Goff can't go on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, we may very well see the long-awaited, long-speculated debut of Shane Olivea at Right Guard. Olivea is a mauler when run blocking but he struggles in pass protection against quick outside rushers (he doesn't have the greatest footwork in the world). Maybe a move inside is warranted at this point.

Olivea at Right Guard and Jeromy Clary at Right Tackle...a glimpse into the future or a stop-gap for the time being?
