Reggie Smith Skips Pro Day, Carl Nicks Banned From His

Maryland is having their pro day today and one of my favorite prospects in the entire draft is going to be working out for scouts. I'll post results from Dre Moore's workout later. Could an impressive showing improve his stock enough to sneak him into the first round?

Oklahoma's top two prospects, DB Reggie Smith and WR Malcolm Kelly did not participate in their school's pro day. Smith is still recovering from an injury that kept him out of post-season games and workouts. Some where projecting the Chargers drafting Smith at pick 27 but that does not seem likely at this point.

Former Cal Golden Bear Desean Jackson has done nothing but impress lately. Jerry Rice himself was on hand at Cal's pro day to show support for his young protege. Safety Thomas DeCoud also received attention as many consider him a day one pick.

Nebraska coach Bo Pelini has laid the smack down. He is banning OL Carl Nicks from participating at today's pro day. Nicks problems, such as his involvement with a rowdy party over the weekend, is a 'bad example' according to Pelini.
