The NFL confirmed this weekend that they will be lowering the prices of playoff tickets across the board, in a move the league sees as being "responsive to the economic challenges facing our fans." It's also the first time ever that Super Bowl ticket prices have been reduced.

Commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday sent pricing guidelines to teams in playoff contention that also authorized them to charge less for tickets to opening-round games than for playoff games the following weekend.
It would be interesting to see if the San Diego Chargers were one of those playoff contending teams contacted. At 4-5, the Bolts are certainly not out of the race by any means, but they need to have a strong second half if they hope to be playing in the post season.
