Cro Needs To Go

Unbelievable. Its the word most of us probably used last year when we saw Antonio Cromartie play. This year, however, the word is used in a negative connotation. How in the world does Cro go from the season he had last year to the absolute garbage I've seen this year? And if you say "Cause Merriman is out", I will smack you in the F*$&@*& mouth. Its much more then that.

I can't count the number of times I've seen Cromartie stand by and watch as his teammates are trying to make a tackle. And I'm trying to remember the last time he's even come near to knocking down a pass. And if he has, its been few and far between as he's been too busy allowing his man catch the ball because he's five yards off the guy. And god forbid he actually has to make a tackle. OH PLEEZZ, DON'T GET MY UNI DIRTY YO!

Now, I don't know what goes on during the Monday game review, but I would love to know what Rivera thinks of his play. There's just no way he can't see the way his "star corner" is playing if he's going over film every week. Its pretty much been going on all season, so its obvious to me, but why isn't it obvious to the coaches? Guess the question is "Who would replace him?" Unfortunately there isn't an easy answer as Cletis Gordon and Antione Cason aren't ready to start.

Its little things like this that have killed the Chargers as a whole this season. Of course Cromartie isn't to blame for everything, but it's the little things that can make a big difference in a game. And until Cro can prove he actually gives a shit on the field and make the plays we know he can make, we'd be better off without him in there.

I'm a fan of Cromartie buts I think people shouldn't give him a free pass based on what he did last year. Everybody on the team had high expectations to live up to, and as a whole they failed. I think Cromartie will turn it around next season, and I really hope his tackling improves as well!

Like I said Rob, to me, its all the little things some of these guys aren't doing. I really think its one of the top reasons we lose close games. A couple of weeks ago, I posted about Cro making a half-hearted tackle in the Steelers game, but didnt prevent the guy from getting out of bounds, thus allowing a FG at the end of the first half. That single non-play was the difference in the game.

Clary is another guy that needs to be called out as he had another shitty game today. And LT, yet again, is dropping passes.

Its not a team thing, its certain individuals that aren't getting it done.

It was an ugly win, but a win just the same. I'll take it anyway I can get it.
All these stars and no-one is shining through. Come on Chargers, make us proud....

Maybe we should start making everyone be responsible for their performance and adjust the paycheck accordingly...
Not only in sports, but in all areas, CEO's, Managers, Coaches, I'm tired of all these big paychecks for doing nothing...

Joe,

I think you have to be the only other Chargers fan that I know that thinks Cromartie is garbage. Last year when all his hype started piling up, I was the only person I knew that wouldn't jump on that wagon. I thought that last year he was just at the right place at the right time, this year he's getting beat left and right.

And todays game is more proof of what a craptacular player he's been all year.

NOTE TO CRO, WHEN THE QB TUCKS THE BALL AND IS RUNNING, THAT WOULD BE YOUR QUE TO MAKE THE TACKLE. ONE OTHER NOTE, THIS LEAGUE "TACKLES", TWO HAND TOUCHES DONT COUNT, LUCKY FOR YOU BRYANT DROPPED THE PASS. IN FACT, LUCKY FOR YOU QUITE A FEW TIMES THAT BRYANT DROPPED PASSES BECAUSE YOU WERE NO WHERE NEAR HIM TO MAKE A PLAY.

Hope AJ, Norv and Ron can hear that.

I challenge anybody here to start in the NFL at corner with a messed up hip. Or anybody in the league for that matter.
