Antonio Gates became the fastest tight end in NFL history to 50 touchdowns. Gates reached this milestone in only 87 career games, shattering former Washington Redskins tight end Jerry Smith's record of 50 touchdowns in 100 games. This season, Antonio Gates was selected to his fifth straight Pro Bowl.

"Obviously it's an honor, considering all of the guys who paved the way for me and the tight ends that you hear about today. It's definitely an honor to be mentioned among the elite guys who've had great careers in this league." - Antonio Gates

for a minute i thought norv had forgotten Gates was even on the roster. i'm just happy to see him included in the offense.

and look 25 touches for LT, and some catches and TD for Gates and they win. simple.
