The Associated Press 2008 NFL All-Pro team was announced Friday. The only San Diego Chargers player to be listed? Offensive Guard Kris Dielman, who is listed on the second team offense. Guards Steve Hutchinson if Minnesota and Chris Snee of the N.Y. Giants were named to the first team, while Dielman and N.Y. Jets guard Alan Faneca are on the second team.

The AP's All-Pro team is conference agnostic; unlike the Pro Bowl there are no separate NFC and AFC teams. Instead, the sports writers vote on who they feel are the 27 best players in the game are at their respective positions. Noticeable absent from the list was Tight End Antonio Gates. Tony Gonzalez was chosen to the first team, and Jason Witten of Dallas earned second team honors.
