BoltHype Mock Draft Contest - 2009
BoltHype is proud to introduce it's first annual Mock Draft Contest. We're big fans of the NFL draft, and we particularly love mock drafts. Charger fans are an educated bunch and we figured we'd ask you all to submit your own mock draft as part of our contest. The winner of this contest will receive a $25 gift card to the San Diego Chargers Official Online Pro Shop.
The rules are simple:
1. Submit up to eight (8) players/positions
The Chargers are expected to have eight picks in the 2009 NFL draft, two of which will be awarded as compensatory picks. Submit up to eight (8) players and/or positions.
2. Earning points
Names are not necessary, but making a correct prediction on a particular player will earn you 10 points. You can earn 5 points by simply correctly predicting the position in a round. And if you correctly guess four positions that the Chargers draft, you'll get an extra 15 point bonus.
10 points for naming a player the Chargers select during the draft
05 points for the correct position (QB, RB, LB, DL, OL, TE, WR) in the correct round
15 bonus points for getting four positions correct
3. Submit more than one mock draft
Submit your mocks in the comments section and leave an email address! Feel free to enter multiple times, but be aware that any previous mock drafts you've submitted will be voided. Having said that, it might be beneficial to you to come back and update your mock from time to time, depending on how free agency changes the team's needs.
4. Ties will be broken by coin flip
If we have multiple people with the same score come draft day, we will randomly choose one winner. Sorry, but the prize is coming from our own pockets and they're mostly filled with lint these days!
EXAMPLE:
Round 1 - DL - Tyson Jackson
Round 3 - RB - Rashad Jennings
Round 4 - OL - Anyone
Round 4 - LB - Jasper Brinkly
Round 5 - DB - Glover Quin
Round 5 - OL - Anyone
Round 6 - TE - Anyone
Round 7 - DL - Anyone
Post your mock in the comments section along with your email address if you'd like to win the $25 gift card. Good luck!

a 4th a 5th round pick for turner & florence!!!!!!WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! C'MON, i mean i can see a 4th or 5th PICK for Flo but, michael turner we should get at least a 3rd or 2nd round pick.
ANYWAYS the 1st pick at 16 will be ethier 1 of the top 4 OT's or ILB REY MAULAUGA.
Andre Smith would be the steal of the year. Hopefully he falls that far and helps out old LT.

We need to select jason smith to block for LTizzle to provide that sizzle. number one priority is to secure both o-line and d-line.
THE HIGHEST COMPENSATORY PICK IS IN THE THIRD ROUND. WE DEFINITELY HAVE A SHOT AT GETTING A 3RD FOR TURNER. WE'LL PROBABLY GET A 5TH FOR FLO. AJ WILL TAKE A TACKLE 1ST IF AN ELITE TACKLE STILL AVAILABLE. THEN LB. THEN RB IF KNOWSHON IS AVAILABLE. AGAIN BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE. I HOPE WE GET A T THAT CAN HELP US IMMEDIATELY.
we won't get knowshon because we don't need him at pick 16. we need to get the best player available in the positions we need like OT or ILB or DE. and then a safety will be are next pick and then problaby in round 4 we get a running back like Andre Brown who is a power back.
