FOX Sports Grades Chargers' Roster High, Front Office And Coaches Low

Adam Schein of FOX Sports recently released his NFL franchise rankings. Schein graded each team on the following eight categories: Owner, Front office, Head coach, Coaching staff, Quarterback, Offense, Defense, and Intangibles; where he ranked the San Diego Chargers might surprise you...

1. New England Patriots

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

3. Philadelphia Eagles

4. New York Giants

5. Baltimore Ravens

6. Atlanta Falcons

7. Indianapolis Colts

8. Green Bay Packers

9. San Diego Chargers

"This proved to be a grade that is the exact replica of the Chargers. Offense plus defense combined with quarterback equaled the highest score in the league for the three categories. Coach Norv Turner, who was generously scored, was the difference in San Diego not getting top 5 rating. AJ Smith's genius helped the front office get a 9. AJ Smith's frosty personality helped sink intangibles to a 6."

I'm worried that Smith's "salty" personality will negatively effect the teams' ability to re-sign some of their own players, let alone attract free agents from around the league.

I'm just curious why he cant try to become more amicable to the whole "being alive in America's Finest City" and realize he has one of the best jobs in the world.....its ok to smile and be happy......makes success so much better and defeats a little easier to take.

adam schein is a d-bag. who cares what he thinks. this is our year... super bowl all the way baby with merriman coming back and a healthy roster.

all of that means what? so Adam can justify his job? look if you're going to rank teams, do it on what counts, winning games. there are 32 teams in the NFL, pick one. anyone except the patriots, giants, eagles, colts and cowboys. oops i'm sorry then he would have no one to talk about.

peace out

i actually agree with this d-bag. The Chargers have great players that are being weighted down by the coaching staff. Norv does not do the best job in putting his players in a position to be successful. In fact, he really does not start calling good plays until the team is trailing by 10 points or more. AJ Smith is a good talent evaluator but a horrible head coach evaluator. Bottom line, a Norv Turner coached team will never get to the Super Bowl. It hurts me to say that because i bleed lighting bolts.

THE JURY IS STILL OUT ON THE COACH. HIS PAST IS REAL BAD AND NOW HE HAS THE TALENT AND WENT 8-8. MAKE OR BREAK YEAR FOR NORV. I WILL SAY THIS, HE WINS 1 HERE HE WINS 3 AND MAKES THE HALL OF FAME.

I hate FOX in Orange County / LA and I hate the Cowboys. Once again FOX is chosing to show the Cowboys over the Chargers up here. Who is the idiot at FOX that doesnt get it?
