CHARGERS WILL EVALUATE ROSTER SOON

The San Diego Chargers will use the final two preseason games to evaluate their players, and will determine who has a future on the team and in what role.

Says Coach Norv Turner, "I think there has been great competition and there still is. These next two game will determine where we end up, in terms of starters, in terms of backups, in terms of sub-package guys. There are some things I'm really interested in seeing in the next two weeks, and there are some guys who have gotten to play a fair amount of snaps, but they're going to get to play a whole lot more snaps. It will determine how much they play on special teams, as backup guys, or if they make the football team."

HALL OF FAME QUARTERBACK DAN FOUTS TO CALL THE CHARGERS AT FALCONS GAME

The six-time Pro Bowler and three-time Chargers MVP will serve as the color commentator alongside Greg Gumbel on CBS’s national telecast of Saturday’s Chargers-Falcons preseason game. He also has been assigned to call San Diego’s first two regular-season home games, contests against Baltimore and Miami in Weeks 2 and 3, respectively, with Dick Enberg.

CHARGERS ARE UNDERDOGS HEADING INTO ATLANTA FOR PRESEASON WEEK 3

The Chargers have done what they usually do for preseason bettors in Weeks 1 and 2 - that is, lose as a home favorite and win as a road underdog. The Bolts are now 4-0-1 ATS in their past five preseason road games and they are 3-point dog (although at least one book has money coming in on them as Sportsbook.com lists them as just 2.5-point dogs according to Bolthype.com's new odds partner OddsShark.com).

OddsShark.com also posted a story just today about the AFC West odds and the fact the Bolts are the second-biggest division favorite in the NFL. The details are here along with the all the latest fun props on Michael Vick's return this week

Ya know, Cheerleaders have absolutely nothing to do with football. But, praise Jesus, they are AWESOME!
Question: Why isn't there a NCL (National Cheerleader League)?! You know, where these goddesses would gather and tour at any major sporting (and other) events that have a recess? Or even without a recess?
That would be fantastic!! Or their own cable television show?! Please, someone needs to FREE these darlings so they can garner the pay and attention they oh-so-justly deserve!!
BTW, our Charger Girls are astonishing and absolutely the Very Best!
