BOLTHYPE friend and fantasy football expert Steve Adler breaks down his predictions for the Charger players on your roster. He explains why Rivers remains a strong play week in and week out, why Sproles might put up better numbers than LT this week, and why Antonio Gates will eat the Eagles alive this Sunday.
Chargers Fantasy Outlook – Week 10
Rivers is always, ALWAYS a strong play. The Eagles are in the middle of the pack in terms of allowing points to fantasy Quarterbacks. This game should be a shoot-out, I would expect at least 250 yards and 2 touchdowns for Philip.
I am not convinced that LT is done as much as I am down on the offensive line. When you watch the game, and re watch the game you can see guys missing assignments and LT just gets blown up. Norv is more apt to call a play action at the goal line than the dive play we have seen from LT over the years. The Eagles are tough against fantasy HB’s and I would use LT as a flex play only this week.
I would look at Sproles over LT this week. Sproles is in the game on passing formations and always able to hit the home run. He is a solid flex play this week.
“You cannot stop him, you can only hope to contain him.” That was a quote reserved for Michael Jordan. Based on the first half of the season, I think VJ has seen some rarefied air. He’s a must start every week and should put up solid numbers yet again this week.
M80 is a guy that was very popular on the waiver wire a few weeks back. If you are in a deep league or need to start a 4th WR, then I play Floyd. If not, then I bench him, he is not seeing the ball and it could be argued that he is a fourth or fifth option.
Gates has been outstanding this season! This Sunday we could all be in for an epic performance. The Eagles allow the 2nd most points vs. Tight Ends. Look for the Chargers to exploit that and if this is a bad day Gates should have 80 yards and a TD.
