Chargers Fantasy Outlook - Week 11

Coming off another big win, the Chargers roll into the Mile High city. This team is on a mission to claim sole possession of first place in the AFC West. The Broncos limp into the game after getting beat for a third straight game, this time to the lowly Redskins. How do the Chargers players project fantasy wise? Let’s take a look...

Philip Rivers
Always a must start. The fact that the ground game got going last week only helps Rivers as it will bring safeties up and allow for more big plays.

Prediction - 250 yards and 2 TD’s this week.

LaDainian Tomlinson
It sure felt nice as a Chargers fan to see flashes of the old LT. My concern with LT is that he left the game in the fourth limping and when he returned he carried four times and not one carry was longer than four yards. The OL is creating holes and given an opportunity LT will take advantage.

Prediction – 85 total yards and a TD

Darren Sproles
Teams have made it a point to contain the “Lightning Bug” and Sproles has had minimal fantasy relevance. I don’t see this as any different. Darren is always the guy that can break it at any moment, but he hasn’t had more ten touches since week three.

Prediction – 45 total yards

Vincent Jackson
Out of “Action” Jackson last week. The Eagles make it a point to take away VJ which opened up things for Gates and LT. The Chargers are going to take what other teams give them and until they continue to run effectively Jackson will be hurt.

Prediction – 65 yards and a TD

Malcom Floyd
Unless you are in a 16 team fantasy league you don’t start Floyd. You can’t start a guy that hasn’t produced yet. You are simply starting him because you are a Chargers fan and fantasy wise, that’s not very smart. He will break out at some point, but you can’t predict when. I don’t think it’s this week.

Prediction – 35 yards

Antonio Gates
TUD! Always a must start, Gates is having his greatest year in terms of yards and I don’t see any reason it should stop now.

Prediction – 85 yards and a TD

Chargers Defense
Look for the Chargers to smell blood from the get go. They are going to go hard after Orton and try to get Simms in the game. Simms is a turnover machine and will give you at least two of them. Chargers defense looks like a great start this week and I expect them to go in and dominate.

Prediction – 13 points allowed, 2 turnovers and 4 sacks.

It'd be awesome to see LT gain 100 yards for the first time this season at Denver; a dagger to the hearts of the faltering Broncos!
