Chargers Fantasy Outlook - Week 12

The San Diego Chargers are on fire, scoring loads of points and creating turnovers on defense. At 7-3, the Chargers are on top of the AFC West and are looking to march towards a playoff berth. The Chargers take on the Chiefs in San Diego on Sunday; while the Chiefs might be a bad team, they did manage to pull off an upset win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. This game will tell us just how far head coach Norv Turner has progressed as a leader. Coming of a great string of victories the Chargers can’t look past the Chiefs this week.

So how do the Chargers players project fantasy-wise? Let’s take a look.

Philip Rivers
Always a must start. From a fantasy perspective I know he has cooled off the last couple games. I look for Norv to be more aggressive this game and send a message to the rest of the league.

Prediction - 285 yards and 3 TD’s this week.

LaDainian Tomlinson
I think we will see LT carry the ball much more in the first half than the second. I’m sure Norv is thinking long term with Tomlinson and is going to rest him on the back end of games. Great for the Chargers long term out look, not so hot for fantasy football owners.

Prediction – 80 total yards and a TD

Darren Sproles
The forgotten man? I think Sproles jumps back into the fold this week. A couple screen passes, a few runs and an explosive TD.

Prediction – 85 total yards and a TD

Vincent Jackson
“Action” Jackson will be ready and able to remind the Chiefs of the first half he had in KC. VJ has been slow the last couple week, but expect a nice bounce back game.

Prediction – 120 yards and a TD

Malcom Floyd
Unless you are in a 16 team fantasy league you don’t start Floyd. You can’t start a guy that hasn’t produced yet. You are simply starting him because you are a Chargers fan and fantasy wise, that’s not very smart. He will break out at some point, but you can’t predict when. I don’t think it’s this week.

Prediction – 35 yards

Antonio Gates
STUD! Always a must start in fantasy football and this week is no different. Can someone please throw this guy a ball in the end zone?

Prediction – 65 yards and a TD

Chargers Defense
These guys are on fire! Expect some big things this week in terms of sacks and turnovers.

Prediction – 10 points allowed, 3 turnovers and 4 sacks.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Steve Adler

Here's a Fantasy Pick for ya! How about having the game televised locally?! What do your fantasy numbers say about THAT?
At the close of the windows today, the NFL (the Great Whore-Mother of Good-ol'-Boys Capitalism) decided to "grant" us fans still another 24 hours to buy up the last 1,300 tickets required for the game to be televied here. I KNOW!?! Might white of 'em, for sure.
Shank you NFL, and a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too.

Relax, the game will be on TV. No problem.

Cro will be extra focused to put the champagne debackel behind him.

Bolts end their AFC West schedule with a win.

So true! The Blackout has indeed been LIFTED!!
Our (sigh)own little Christmas Miracle! O' happy days.
Now let's see if Cromartie's "extra focus" will actually come into his play somehow versus a truly weak Kansas City team.
Question: Do you know how you can tell Cromartie is "extra focused"?
Answer: Me neither.

Cro's extra focus means that he isnt covering his guy but he will cheat on the guy Gregory is covering to get a pick.
