The Madden video game has taken on a life of it's own. Madden video tournaments are held all over the nation on Xbox 360, Playstation 2, and Playstation 3. EA Sports is constantly pushing the bar for innovation in a football video game.

Always controversial, the Madden ratings and rankings are a somewhat accurate description of where professional football players and teams rank among their peers.

In terms of the San Diego Chargers player ratings, here is the full roster:

So football fans, do you plan on purchasing the Madden football video game this year? If so, what system will you buy it for? Also, do you generally agree with the rankings/ratings or do you find issues with the way EA grades the NFL teams and players?

Yes, I plan on buying the game it was gets me through the off season.

I just can't imagine VJ and McNeil not being on the team. We all have to suffer for AJ low balling our players and trying to use media to pressure them. VJ and McNeil have played out their contracts. The need to either be rewarded or traded. Their current market value is more than 3 million a season of what GM is offering them. Spanos have made a lot of money these last couple of seasons with this roster. It's time to pay the piper. If they get injured will the Chargers GM pay them because it's the right thing to do? Hell No. So why not repair the relationship and renegotiate their salaries and everyone wins. This is the worst PR I’ve seen any NFL organization.

Its funny fluid the ratings are, Nate vasher in Madden 08 coming off a pro-bowl season his overall was 93, now *hopefully* his first full season he's a 69 *teehee*, funny how an injury changes how people see you. Same with Shawne Merriman, he was a 98, now down to 84. I also doubt ryan matthews is faster than vj

Simply put, this game is a joke! Granted, I've only seen the demo version...but I fail to see what all of the hype is about. The list of "issues" is as long as my arm and I am entirely too frustrated to vent them all in here. Personally, EA sports should be embarrassed to have created such a pile of dog poo. As for the Obama promotional...that's likely the biggest joke of all (apart from the guy's administration). I'm actually surprised anyone has disposable income to purchase such an idiotic game! I think I'll go play GTA and blow something up.

Make sure they have a good defense and good attack. One-dimensional teams are hard to play. Teams like the Titans, the Colts, Jets, Chargers, Saints and Vikings are some good Madden 11 teams.
