Shareece Wright

The San Diego Chargers have selected Shareece Wright, CB from USC with the 89th overall selection in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Wright was ruled academically ineligible for the 2009 season, but he has worked hard to salvage his career and has the potential to be drafted in April. He plays very aggressively and likes to hit in run support despite being slightly undersized. He is fast with good agility to stick in man coverage and shows good recognition skills to make plays in zone. His off the field issues, coupled with a serious neck injury in 2008, may scare off a few teams, but Wright is a talented corner and has a chance to be a mid-to-late round draft pick.

Did the Chargers make the right choice with this pick? What type of impact do you expect to see from Wright in his rookie season? Leave your reaction in the comments section below!

Wright is a good player but........ is AJ Smith trying to get fired? Gilchrist, Mouton and Wright. Wright is a not a bad pick at all, did we need a CB or FS over right tackle, good ILB. He wasted the 2nd and 3rd round picks, with the exception of V. Brown

Didn't we need an ILB somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd round? Seriously skeptical on all of our picks minus Liuget. Skeptical boardering on pissed. So many reaches on day two. I hope I'm proved wrong. I really would like to see this team rebound huge this season. These picks though...ugh.

f***ing retarded! I'm never going to watch another draft as long as AJ is the GM

Retarded is correct. Raiders, Chiefs and Broncos get an A rating for thier selections and we get a C- at best. When is someone going to wake up in the Chargers organization and put an end to this year after year mess with our drafting.
