Even though recent history might suggest otherwise, Spanos seems convinced that Smith and Turner can turn things around. That, or he was simply too afraid to make a dramatic move regarding the leadership of a team that has failed to come anywhere close to meeting expectations in recent seasons.
Still, Spanos says he is committed to bringing a championship to San Diego, and this move would seem to be Smith's and Turner's final chance to make that happen. Chargers fans, are you happy or are you hating this decision by Spanos? Sound off now!
