The San Diego Chargers have placed long snapper Mike Windt on the “Reserve-Injured” list with a wrist injury. He was injured during Sunday’s game at Denver. He will be replaced by Kyle Nelson, who signed a two-year contract with the Chargers today.
Nelson,
6-2, 240 pounds is a first-year player from New Mexico State. He went
to training camp with New Orleans in 2011 and later spent time on Kansas
City’s practice squad. Nelson spent the 2012 offseason with San
Francisco and was released at the end of training camp. He later spent a
week on Philadelphia’s practice squad.
