Sporty32am.... u got class dude. I like ur comment "LT is the best football player I have ever seen...". That makes 2 of us. Yes, AP runs hard and fast but the standing tall is not going to last. Peterson is a hell of a players, but lets get real, you do all know that the single game record was held for YEARS by Dillon, who is very talented, but will not even make the hall of fame. Unfortunately Damn near anyone can have a big day. As you saw down the Stretch, AP ran into what its like to be a star player, once teams completely commited to stopping him, his numbers went WAY down, check the GB film and the Washington film. The kids great and is going to be a very good player, but he has a long way to go... One thing that players learn fast is not to call out other teams, its the NFL, you dont need anyone taking extra shots at you

But if you go back through LT's career, there were many games were Marty Schottenheimer would pull in the fourth quarter. Go through Tomlinson's career stats and you'll see he could have easily shattered the most 200+ yard games record. Lots of times he had like 170 or 180 yards and Schottenheimer would just let LT rest instead of shooting for the record.

Not to jump on the DEFENSIVE bandwagon, but just like it was noted AD only had under 50 yards in the first half we must also look at the almost non exsistence of time of possesion for the Bolts in the second half, almost any RB will have a good day against a Defense the spends just about the entire second half on the field and not to mention he was running against 2nd and 3rd stringers. bottom line "Get 200+ plus yards against a healty 1st string Bolt D, then you would have a right to brag" AINT GONNA HAPPEN!!!!

i agree with what cary said but also wanted to add that shaun phillips left the game before the end of the 1st half, and quinton jammer left part way throught the third. so basically the chargers lost their best run stoppers in each aspect of the defense.

A Saints official was asked if the first game after the Saint's Katrina evacuation was the toughest of the season. The official said no it was the second game after the evacuation. Why? The players had played a very emotional game the first one after the evacuation a game they won. By the time they played their second game after the evacuation the players were emotionally spent and it showed in their play.

What is the correlation with the Chargers and their loss to the Vikings. The Chargers had just been evacuated after the firestorm and had won an emotional game in San Diego. Their second game after the evacuation was with the Vikings an away game.

Had those two teams met several weeks after the evacuation the game would have been closer and Peterson would not be calling the Chargers a soft team. Still his words will have a life of their own should these two teams meet again.

@Cary - I feel you...Adrian Peterson got to the second level too much in the second half and he is a guy you do not want to try and tackle when he is running downhill with a head of steam.

Some credit should also be given to the Vikings offensive line...Steven Hutchison and Bryant McKinnie are excellent players.

If any actually watched that game at all they would know that Adrian had less than 50 yards in the first half... that was before Louis Castillo got injured and had to sit the rest of the game. Had Louis not gone down I am more than positive Adrian wouldn't have even broached the century mark. Not that it matters but Jamal Williams was coming off having both knees scoped at the time and was near 70% and probably played 5-7 snaps. But I guess having one hall of famer essentially out and a probowler out completely doesn't matter does it?
